DWARFF!
A downloadable game
DWARFF!
Dwarff is a mini game based on the works of Encore.
Encore is a toolbox system inspired by retro video games and old school RPG's!
A little about Encore...
Encore is a new TTRPG system that aims to create rules light gameplay with heavy customisation for players that need something to sink their teeth into. Encore is a toolbox system that will offer one 'Core' guide for the most basic rules and then separate editions to further add content and specific rules for each setting.
Check out the Ink Blade Publishing main page to understand the aim of the project.
But what's going on in Dwarff?
Have you ever wanted to fight a small selection of monsters, monitor your drinking, and dig through tonnes of rocks looking for shiny shiny DIAMONDS!? Well Dwarff is the mini game for you!
How do I play?
It's easy! You'll need a
- 6 sided dice (multiple would be handy!)
- Pen & paper, maybe some tokens for characters (if playing digitally then make sure to download the tiles and sprites)
- And the Dwarff PDF (That's free btw!)
Have a quick read through the game manual and give it a try! It's only 6 pages so it really will be quick!
Can I play with my friends?
The game has 3 Dwarff types, so 3 is a comfortable max player limit. Dwarff is best experienced with a Game Master... or even a Cave Master, this particular CM is the keeper of the caves secrets and maybe even the cave system designer, hopefully you've been nice to them in the past!
Is it worth trying?
Well it's free, and I personally love free stuff! Dwarff is a mini game made purely for fun, a laugh, a little giggle if you would. Choose your type of Dwarff and plan your playthrough with your team. Have your Miner clear the path, accidentally confront enemies, get your beefcake to take control of the fight. Accidentally donked a few times? Have a Brewer nearby to supply you with plenty of booze.
Is Dwarff playable by children?
Dwarff is for everyone, with it's light rules and easy comprehension. Even kids can play! (Although they might have questions about name of the skeletons, sorry parents!)
But you misspelt Dwarf!
Yes, but technically... well yes. Part of the annoying charm with Encore games is the altered names. Double letters are a must and if it can be made a little bit silly, then it has to be done! Dwarves to Dwarffs, Goblins to Gobbs, Skeletons to... Bonerrs.
Play it like a true Dwarff!
If you and your friends have a pen & paper lying around at your next party maybe suggest a quick game of Dwarff. Playing like a true Dwarff might involve just a teensy-weensy bit of alcohol, I'll let you figure out the rules, and of course only drink if you're older enough you silly kids!

A delightful little game! Would love to make a little supplement for it sometime, already had some ideas.
